Plastic waste is bad! That's one thing we can all agree on. ACVF is partnering with the Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly to conduct a clean up day for the Lomnava Drain, a small tributary of the Odow River, internationally famous for its level of pollution. Poetically, Lomnava means "If you love me, come." So we are going. This watercourse is just a short way up the Odow from the infamous Agbogbloshie e-Waste Dump - where your cell phone from 2 years ago and your old computer are. Downstream from that of course is the Atlantic Ocean, which we share. We are sending 30 or more volunteers in full protective gear into the trench and need your support to provide the boots, tyvek suits, masks, goggles, gloves and a light breakfast and lunch. The Assembly will provide carting services and water for the volunteers.
Adults from CV and Kisseman can volunteer for work in the trench, and youth 13-18 can help outside the trench in many ways also.
